James Conversation I
(The following is not a Conversation, per se, as it does not contain verbatim dialogue. Treat it as an Adventure Log for a single party member.)
James left the ship, taking two grappling guns and two days’ supplies. He left twice the cost of what he took as payment. Making his way to the ground, and, perplexed by the lack of public transportation, he rented a horse to get him to London within a day’s travel. Arriving in the city, he immediately found his way to the University. He broke into Lily’s lab to look for an hints as to her current whereabouts, operating under the assumption that Lily is still alive (but captured). He found nothing. No notes, no journals. The director of the University, Dr. Brown, arrived at the door and asked James what was going on. James tried to lie and get information from Brown, but the older man had security throw James out of the building.
Making his way towards the scene of Ryan’s murder again, and stopped to pick up a newspaper. He saw that there had been another murder during the trip, and he changed courses to visit that crime scene instead. The police were gone by the time he arrived, so he interrogated an ignorant sailor instead.
Frustrated by his lack of progress, James visited Ryan’s old house. He looked around here for some of Lily’s notes, but they were absent. He went into Ryan’s office and read up on his documents, learning everything he could about what his brother was doing in the weeks before his death.
